Liquid Green Goodness!

http://smithfamilyresources.com/products/liquidchlorophyll

Are you anemic?

Anemia is a condition in which there aren't enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to your body's tissues. If you are anemic, you may feel tired or weak. Loss of blood is the most common cause of anemia. That's why women who are menstruating or who have just given birth are often susceptible to anemia.

Taking chlorophyll can help relieve anemia--and can help you have more energy even if you aren't anemic. Chlorophyll stimulates the production of red blood cells and helps carry oxygen from the lungs to the body and the brain, which means more energy for you.

Chlorophyll has great cleansing properties as well. It is called an "internal deodorizer." Regular use of chlorophyll can improve bad breath, as well as lessen the odors of urine and feces and odors accompanying perspiration.

In the video below, Stephanie Tallent talks about how useful Liquid Chlorophyll can be during pregnancy.  Her "green goodness" drink consists of a glass of water with about a teaspoon of Liquid Chlorophyll and few drops of Liquid Stevia added to it.

Toothie Tuneup

http://smithfamilyresources.com/products/toothietuneup

The mouth is the gateway to the body, and keeping your gatekeeper healthy is crucial.  The probiotic strain Streptococcus salivarius has been shown in clinical settings to provide protection to the mouth and throat against threatening bacteria that could weaken oral health.  Studies have shown that those who test naturally high in S. salivarius have lower incidence of strep throat and upper respiratory infections.

The added benefit of bathing the mouth in Toothie Tuneup™ is that it inhibits the colonization of bacteria that can contribute to cavities, bad breath, and other oral problems. This promotes health and can decrease the rate of infections associated with the mouth.

Toothie Tuneup™ is a delightful berry-flavored chewable lozenge that is sweetened with Xylitol for added benefit to your teeth.  It’s made with real berries and the only coloring used is from non-GMO beets, so you can be confident about the safety of every single ingredient!  We love how easy it is for kids to use and consider it a common sense safeguard to benefit children, especially those prone to throat and mouth infections.

Manufactured in the USA.

Are Beeyoutiful Essential Oils Therapeutic Grade?

Are Beeyoutiful's Essential Oils therapeutic grade?

The answer may surprise you!

It's no surprise that Beeyoutiful's Essential Oils are of the highest quality.  The oils are 100% pure, unadulterated, uncontaminated, and undiluted. Every batch is sample-tested to make sure that it is so, before bottling, during bottling, and after bottling. In addition, tests are done to make sure that the oils meet a certain standard of active components. The oils are tested for purity by gas chromatography, infrared spectroscopy, or both. The testing method is listed on each bottle.

This is the part of the answer that may surprise you:  There is no such thing as "therapeutic grade."

The term "therapeutic grade" was coined by a particular multi-level marketing provider of essential oils.  But there is no formally approved grading standard used consistently throughout the essential oil industry.  There is no standards committee.  There are no independent certifying agencies.  Terms like "therapeutic grade" and "medicinal grade" are simply marketing.  While they may have meaning as defined by the company using the terms, they should not be taken to mean that oils with that label are actually superior to other oils not claiming such a grade.

Beeyoutiful's oils are of the highest quality and are used for therapies, for medicines and for aromatherapy.  They are not called "therapeutic grade" or "medicinal grade" or even "aromatherapy grade," because there is no such thing, except in marketing.

Yeast Assassin Lite

This is a follow-up to yesterday's post
("I'm not sick. I just don't feel good!")
about curbing yeast overgrowth and boosting the growth of good bacteria.

If you are a pregnant mom, a nursing mother, a young teenager, or an adult who has had trouble with previous yeast cleanses, consider taking Yeast Assassin Lite instead of Yeast Assassin.

Yeast Assassin Lite includes only one ingredient:  caprylic acid.

Caprylic acid is an essential fatty acid naturally derived from coconut oil and palm kernel oil.  It is easily digested and is safe for pregnancy.

Our family is taking a big step starting Sunday.  Several of us will be starting the 30-day regimen of 4 Yeast Assassin and 4 Acidophilus Blast.  We're modifying the regimen slightly for our 12-year-old who will take 4 Yeast Assassin Lite and 2 Acidophilus Blast daily.  We're all planning to either reduce or eliminate entirely our sugar consumption.  We've had a lot of ice cream this summer!  I hope we can make this change without too much pain!

We'd love to hear from anyone else who is working to curb yeast overgrowth.  And if you have some good recipes for desserts that don't include sugar, please let us hear from you!

"I'm not sick. I just don't feel good!"

"I'm not sick.  I just don't feel good!"

I'm smiling at the incorrect grammar but wincing at the truth of the statement.  Can you identify with this?

It's hard to eat right, to drink plenty of water, to avoid processed foods, to reduce sugar intake, etc.  So you limp along, doing the best you can--not really sick, just not feeling really well.

Maybe the problem is in your gut--your intestines.

Yeast and bacteria live in your gut.  You need them both for your good health.  The typical American diet with lots of white sugar and flour feeds yeast almost continuously.  Diet alone can cause the yeast/bacteria balance to be disturbed.  Now add to that a round or two of antibiotics.  That antibiotic you took didn't just eliminate the infection you wanted to treat; it also killed of much of the good bacteria your body needs to stay well.

Yeast craves sugar.  When your yeast and bacteria are out of balance, your body craves sugar--the very thing that will perpetuate the imbalance.  Chances are that feeding your sweet tooth will pave the way for weight gain, fatigue, and achy joints, all of which make exercise difficult or impossible.  You want to change your diet.  You know you need to eat more probiotic-rich foods and eliminate sugar.  But that's easier said than done!  Your yeast wants less of the good stuff and more sugar.

What can be done to reverse this vicious cycle?

A 30-day regimen of a yeast killer and a probiotic boost can help you make this turn-around.

We recommend 4 Yeast Assassin per day--2 with or after breakfast and 2 with or after dinner--and 4 Acidophilus Blast per day--before meals and at bedtime.  Taking these supplements for 30 days while also avoiding or eliminating sugar from your diet will be extremely helpful.  (Pregnant women and nursing mothers may take Yeast Assassin Lite instead of Yeast Assassin.)

Most people find relief from their troublesome symptoms in the first 30 days.  Some symptoms, especially those that have been present for a very long time, may take longer to respond.  You may want to continue the Yeast Assassin/Acidophilus Blast for another month or so until you see improvement in your health issues.

We recommend following this regimen with 2 Tummy Tuneup per day for at least 2-3 months.  This will help keep the yeast overgrowth from recurring.

Don't wait.  Start today reclaiming your intestinal health.  If you can do it by changing your diet alone, good for you!  If you need a little help, Yeast Assassin and Acidophilus Blast are available.

Share your stories, please!  Your comments may encourage someone else in the process of reclaiming their health.

"The day will be the most memorable in America.
I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival...it ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade...bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other, from this day forward, forevermore."

Cahaba Lilies

Cahaba Lilies in Helena, Alabama ~ May 2014
This morning, Hewy Woodman (of No Sleep In Helena) led a group of us down on the banks of Buck Creek to see one of the largest stands of Cahaba lilies in the south.
According to www.cahabariver.net, Cahaba lilies are found only in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, so I feel grateful to be able to see some here in my own hometown.

"Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you,
not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these." Luke 12:27

Support For a Healthy Metabolism

Thyro-Vival is a complete nutritional supplement
for the support of healthy thyroid function.
Beeyoutiful has combined Iodine (from Kelp) and Tyrosine,
the two integral constituents of thyroid hormones,
with the minerals Selenium, Zinc and Copper,
to assist in its production.
In addition, Beeyoutiful's Thyro-Vival contains Guggul Extract,
an Ayurvedic herb known for its ability
to support a healthy metabolism.

Read what customers are saying about Thyro-Viral:

Feeling Normal Again! Review by Tammy ~ I am a 31-year-old mom with very mild hypothyroidism and was trying to find something natural to deal with the symptoms. It took about three weeks for my system to respond, but it is great to feel normal again! My metabolism is up, my mind is clear, and I have a spring in my step instead of feeling sluggish and generally unmotivated. It has been a huge blessing to find this product.

Big difference! Review by Jessica ~ Utter exhaustion is the only way to describe what I have felt like for years.  I have had my thyroid tested but it came back in the normal range. I take Supermom vitamins regularly for years but still was exhausted. I saw a review for the Thyro-Vival and thought I would give it a try. I am almost done with my first bottle and let me tell you I noticed a huge difference in just a few days. I finally had the energy to tackle the laundry monster that had taken over my house!

I've been challenged!

I've been challenged!

Here goes...

1.  Self-Portrait and
Five Random Facts About Yourself

1.  I realize the first point of #1 is "self-portrait."  The first random fact about me is that I have never taken a selfie.

2.  Although I don't take selfies, I do take hundreds of pictures of other people, mostly of my five children.

3.  I also take pictures of birds.  Yesterday, I photographed a rose-breasted grosbeak, a ruby-throated hummingbird, a house finch, and a tufted titmouse on the feeders in my backyard.

4.  I was challenged by my daughter.  You can visit her at Love, Learn and Laugh!

5.  I'm behind.  I'm behind on a lot of things, but, specifically, I'm behind on this challenge.  I'm writing Day 1 on the 3rd day of the month--which means I should finish the 31 Day Blog Challenge in about 93 days!

I love it when you comment.
Feel free to tell me something random about yourself!  Emoji

  • For headache, menstrual cramps, or arthritis pain, add a few drops of rosemary oil to a carrier oil, such as almond oil, and rub on the affected area.

Tea Tree Oil

http://smithfamilyresources.com/t/essentialoils

Beeyoutiful's Tea Tree Oil is 100% pure, steam-distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, and it provides generous amounts of terpinen--the active ingredient responsible for the oil’s amazing antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal abilities.

Replace your first aid spray and anti-bacterial ointments with tea tree oil for cuts, scrapes, infections, irritated hair follicles, blisters, boils—even acne. It’s safe for use on broken skin and can be used without diluting. A drop or two is all you need to disinfect and heal.

On minor burns and sunburn, add tea tree oil to Vitamin E oil or aloe vera gel for soothing relief. This combination makes a refreshing aftershave, too, and, unlike most store-bought lotions, it has no dangerous chemicals to soak into your skin.

Instead of toxic wart remover, apply tea tree oil regularly onto both plantar and seed warts. Since warts are caused by a virus, tea tree oil's anti-viral characteristics go to work, dissolving most warts within a few weeks.

If you shower in a dorm, campground, or other public facility, consider spritzing your feet and freshly shaved legs with a mixture of water and a few drops of tea tree oil to prevent warts. And be sure to treat your razor with tea tree oil before shaving.

Treat jock itch, athlete’s foot, and ringworm with anti-fungal tea tree oil. Unsightly nail fungus responds well to tea tree oil, too. Apply undiluted, or for ease of spreading, add it to a small amount of olive oil or aloe gel.

To reduce bronchial distress, mix a few drops of tea tree oil with olive oil and spread liberally on the chest and throat. You can also produce a steam inhalation treatment by mixing tea tree oil in a bowl of 6 to 8 cups of boiling water, covering your head and the bowl with a towel, and breathing deeply (eyes closed) for 10 minutes. Tea tree oil can also be diffused in a vaporizer or aroma lamp to open airways and disinfect the sickroom.

Mix a few drops of tea tree oil with 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of borax.  Mix in a spray bottle (12 oz.) with warm water for a safe, refreshing disinfectant.

Does your dishwasher have an unpleasant smell? Add a couple of drops of TTO to the soap dispenser along with the soap. And a few drops in your garbage disposer will freshen it up, too.

Safety Information: Can be used neat, however it's best to do a patch test first. Limit usage to the problem area, and avoid the surrounding skin. Do not massage directly on or below a varicose vein.
