Our SMICA XC Team not only ran well, but they also encouraged each other throughout the day. It was a great day of fun and fellowship for all!
Junior High Boys - 2 mile
D. J. Leipert took the Gold Medal with a time of 12:35, setting a new state record!
Noah Underwood won the Silver Medal with a time of 12:46, also beating the previous state record!
Senior High Boys - 5K
Our Senior High Boys took all three medals!
Gold - Nathan Pass -18:28
Silver - Fisher Watkins - 18:49
Bronze - Tyler Horton - 19:26
Senior High Girls - 5K
Ruth Terry won the Gold Medal with a time of 23:09, setting a new state record! (Incidentally, Ruth set the previous state record last year!)
Rebekah Horton won the Silver Medal with a time of 23:35.
Other medals were given to 4th through 10th place runners, and several SMICA students were among those receiving medals. (If I can find a list of our medal-winners, I'll add them later.)
