First Friday ~ June 6

The Helena Business Association did all they could to provide a great First Friday in Helena, but they couldn't control the weather!  It rained most of the time, but a few of us stuck it out and enjoyed the evening in Old Town anyway. 

July:  First Friday on Thursday!

Next month, we'll celebrate First Friday on Thursday.  Mark your calendars and plan to join us for July's First Friday on Thursday, July 3.  Come shop and dine from 5:30 'til 8:30 and stay for Independence Day Fireworks!

Cahaba Lilies

This morning, Hewy Woodman (of No Sleep In Helena) led a group of us down on the banks of Buck Creek to see one of the largest stands of Cahaba lilies in the south.

According to www.cahabariver.net, Cahaba lilies are found only in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, so I feel grateful to be able to see some here in my own hometown.
