Vitamin K

Want to take a single supplement that can potentially impact your teeth, cardiovascular health, bones, and brain? Ever thought of taking Vitamin K? The importance of Vitamin K, and especially the Vitamin K2 form, has become more well known over the past few years. In several countries, Vitamin K is even used to treat osteoporosis before prescription drugs.

Your body synthesizes Vitamin K1 and turns into Vitamin K2, the usable form of the vitamin. Therefore, Beeyoutiful's Katalyst is made of a combination of ingredients that specifically deliver a suggested dose of Vitamin K2 as well as an additional dose of Vitamin K1, which your body can turn into the bioavailable K2. This combo should provide your body with a steady appropriate dose of Vitamin K.

Dr. Weston A. Price did a tremendous amount of research during his career trying to find the key to both dental health and overall health. He isolated a nutrient that he called “Activator X,” which potentiated numerous other vitamins inside the body and allowed for increases in health and vibrancy. Although the research techniques existed during his lifetime, he was never aware that “Activator X” had been identified. It was several years later that research done decades prior in Russia was brought to the English speaking researchers and Vitamin K was identified as this elusive nutrient. It has been less than two decades that the importance of dietary Vitamin K and supplementation has been well known, the more we learn, the more we realize this isn’t just a clotting vitamin!

Vitamin K specifically works synergistically with Vitamins A and D, to help potentiate them and even allows the proteins within those vitamins come to life in a way they will not without ample Vitamin K levels. Therefore we suggest that Katalyst be taken along with a regimen of Dynamic Duo.

Health Benefits of Vitamin K

Dental Health- Vitamin K is prevalent in the salvia and salivary glands. Studies have shown that those with saliva that was sufficient in Vitamin K also had very low incidents of dental caries. Some studies also have suggested that supplementing with Vitamin K may also reverse dental caries and rebuild the actual tooth. In addition, Vitamin K may help to decrease the bacterial count within the mouth, helping to eliminate the risk for caries and other dental problems.

Bone Health- In several studies done outside the US, there have been reports that Vitamin K reduces the incidents of fractures in the elderly and helps to reverse bone loss. It is widely known that Vitamin D and A are useful in helping keep bones healthy. There is a protein, Osteocalcin, that is only produced if both Vitamins A and D are present and can only be activated in the presence of Vitamin K2. Osteocalcin is responsible for organizing the deposit of both calcium and phosphorus, both of which are vital for healthy bones.

Cardiovascular Health- If the studies done on Vitamin K and heart disease are only partially true, the results would still be so staggering that no one would go without taking their daily Vitamin K. In one study it was found that heart disease was literally cut in half in those taking Vitamin K. It appears from research that Vitamin K2 actually protects the arteries from the formation of the calcification that causes heart disease by blocking the accumulation of lipids and white blood cells and eliminating inflammation. This is a remarkable finding because it lends to the idea that heart disease is actually directly linked to a deficiency in vitamins, and specifically Vitamin K2.

Brain Health- Vitamin K2 has a very crucial role in the nervous system in production of sulfatides, which without them there are significant neural symptoms. This is especially seen in patients that suffer from Alzheimers or seizures. Sulfatides in these patients were typically a lot lower than normal levels. Treatment with Vitamin K2 often saw either dramatic improvement of symptoms or elimination of the symptoms all together. While most do not experience deficiencies that lead all the way to seizures, often fatigue and leaning difficulties can be remedied with a consistent supplement of Vitamin K2, like Beeyoutiful’s Katalyst.
